Welcome to Gateway!
We’re often asked by Guests about our style and about our history, so here’s the abridged version.
COMMUNITY
Gateway is a contemporary Christian fellowship, situated on the Frankston Peninsula, about 50 minutes south of the City. We started in 1986, growing from an initial group of 24 people to more than 500 people in regular worship attendance, with the aggregate community exceeding 1,200 people.

CONNECTION
We express an open, contemporary style of ministry that is open to all who are genuinely seeking spiritual answers. We also encourage followers of Jesus to develop a deeper spiritual connection with God. Our worship style is a blend of celebration and reflection, using modern music, drama, dance, film and other creative arts.

Our two Sunday services (4pm, 6pm) are designed for families, young adults and youth. 'Godspace' - our midweek service, is held monthly and serves to encourage and develop leadership and faith in the core of the church.

RELEVANCE
We have a dynamic all-age kid’s programme. During worship GodZone caters for crèche and primary school age children.

And in the high school age, Gateway Youth combines mid-week activities and growth opportunities, with an annual adventure camp called Camp No Fear to provide teenagers with a positive-life programme. Playgroups for pre-schoolers also run mid-week.
FUTURE
Gateway has just purchased a building in Seaford which they plan to develop into a worship and performing arts theatre with many other community facilities. The plan is to relocate some time in 2011.
Gateway is an expanding movement of churches across Australia and the South Pacific, recently starting new churches in Melbourne and Papua New Guinea.
